"Forrestall's intricate still lives sparkle and hum like crystal ... Fredericton-based painter William Forrestall is another quiet marvel ... a unique collection of still life paintings ... capturing not one perfect instant but thousands" —R.M. Vaughan, National Post
Kinsman Robinson Galleries would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome William Forrestall to the gallery. Coming from an artistic family abundant with talent, we are particularly pleased to showcase William's artworks in the gallery. His father who is Tom Forrestall — a Canadian icon and a distinguished member of our stable — has passed on his creative and visual talents while leaving William with a very different eye with which to portray his world.
William Forrestall brings a unique vision to his paintings. Following in the tradition of Walter Tandy Murch, William defines and cares for the space around his objects as much as the objects themselves. In this way, his space becomes tangible. William's compositional and spacial relationships possess a poetic care and balance that one sees comparably in the still lifes by the Italian painter, Giorgio Morandi. I believe that William's artistic aim is to gently lead the viewer into his world of mysterious objects in a way which makes them worthy of careful consideration.
